Open Your New Account
You can open your account online right now. We will help you every step of the way. If you’d like to meet face-to-face with someone, open your account at any EICU branch.
Switch Direct Deposit and Automatic Payments
Once your new account is open, the next step is to switch your Direct Deposit and automatic payments. Follow our Switch Kit Checklist to handle this quickly and easily.
Closing Your Old Account
At this point, you should be a member! Once you complete the following steps, you can submit your Letter of Closure to your old financial institution.
- All checks have cleared your old account
- All Direct Deposits and automatic payments have been switched to your new EICU account
- For safety, destroy any remaining checks, debit cards and ATM cards from your old account
